PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huge Bum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huge Bum told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar clinches up with Bum and pushes him back against the cage.

Lesnar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A leg kick checked by Lesnar.
Lesnar throws a body kick that misses.
Bum throws a half hearted mid kick.
Lesnar connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bum's hands.

It looks like Huge Bum has been cut.
Lesnar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bum tries to close the distance and clinch but Lesnar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Bum rushes Lesnar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Lesnar is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bum can't fight it off and eventually Lesnar manages to take the fight to the floor. Bum looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lesnar drops back looking for a leg! Bum is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bum manages to kick Lesnar off! Lesnar jumps back into Bum's guard.

Lesnar stays in close to Bum's body and controls the position.

Lesnar postures up in Bum's guard and throws a big left but Bum blocks it.
Lesnar throws a big elbow that misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bum controls Lesnar momentarily but Lesnar frees himself.

Lesnar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bum tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bum should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Lesnar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bum blocks a head kick by Lesnar.

Lesnar gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Bum is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lesnar is keeping busy.
Bum jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lesnar walks away with a smile on his face. Bum gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lesnar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bum shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lesnar has taken the fight to the clinch.

Lesnar has clasped his hands together around Bum's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Bum on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Lesnar is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bum will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Lesnar's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lesnar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bum has escaped the position, nice work there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bum takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Lesnar dominated that round.

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Lesnar throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Bum is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Brock Lesnar!
A relieved looking Brock Lesnar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
