Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Nail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Shannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shannon has chosen Donald Trump by Mac Miller as his entrance music. Fred Nail has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nail fails in his attempt to clinch.

so Shannon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Shannon tries to pass to full mount but Nail defends it.

Shannon is looking for a kimura but Nail is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shannon to get the leverage.

Shannon wants to work for an arm triangle but Nail is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Nail defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Shannon.

Shannon is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Nail has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Nail!

Nail got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shannon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nail has managed to get both his arms back between Shannon's legs - danger averted.

Shannon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nail defends it easily.
