The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy tries to land a front kick but Ghilotti steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Ghilotti looking to score a takedown here. Murphy is defending well but Ghilotti drives through and ends up in Murphy's guard.
Ghilotti is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Ghilotti decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ghilotti is defended easily by Murphy.
Murphy throws a head kick but Ghilotti moves out of range.

Ghilotti looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Murphy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Frank Ghilotti hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Ghilotti avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Murphy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ghilotti shoots in and gets a takedown into Murphy's guard.

Ghilotti got a little sloppy there for a moment and Murphy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ghilotti has managed to get both his arms back between Murphy's legs - danger averted.

Murphy wants to take the fight to the mat but Ghilotti manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Ghilotti shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Murphy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Ghilotti stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murphy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ghilotti has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Murphy is proving hard to escape from.

Ghilotti content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Murphy has locked up a guillotine! Murphy's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ghilotti is holding on here and Murphy must be using up a lot of energy. Ghilotti has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Murphy gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
