Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Mazer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gran Turismo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mazer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Fighter. Turismo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by In the Air Tonite by Nonpoint. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turismo fails with the takedown.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Turismo.

Mazer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mazer showed some decent athleticism there.
Mazer looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Still in half guard, Mazer seems content to control.
Turismo is looking to control Mazer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Turismo avoid being mounted?

and Mazer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Turismo won't be happy with that.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Mazer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Turismo for as long as he can get away with.
Turismo is looking to regain half guard here but Mazer keeps moving and retains side control.

No joy there for Turismo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mazer.
Mazer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Turismo but Turismo pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Turismo tries to clinch there but Mazer circles away.

Turismo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Turismo tries to clinch but Mazer is having none of it.
Mazer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Turismo misses with a takedown attempt - Mazer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Turismo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mazer's head backwards.
Turismo tries to land a front kick but Mazer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Mazer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Mazer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mazer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mike Mazer decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
