Vemola has chosen The Balfa Brothers - Parlez Nous A Boire as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vemola scores with a body shot.
Nelson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Vemola finds it's way round the side to connect with Nelson's head.
Vemola cracks the inside of Nelson's front leg.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nelson is breathing heavily.
Vemola cracks Nelson with an uppercut from hell and Nelson crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Vemola's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Nelson is rocked!
It looks like Hoy Nelson has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nelson seems to have got his legs back now.

We're going to have a standup here because Hoy Nelson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A swing and a miss from Vemola.
Vemola walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Nelson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Vemola swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Nelson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karlos Vemola!
Our winner, Karlos Vemola, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
