The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Darkenosn gets caught napping as Klutie dives in and scores a takedown. Darkenosn manages to retain guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Klutie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Darkenosn looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Klutie has picked Darkenosn up and slammed him! Darkenosn can't keep hold of the triangle and Klutie manages to pass to side control!
Klutie is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Darkenosn will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Darkenosn tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Darkenosn wants to hold on but Klutie pushes him away.

Klutie is landing with some decent strikes but Darkenosn is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Klutie misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Klutie avoids the attempt from Darkenosn to control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Darkenosn can do anything to dispel that myth.
Klutie lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
