The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lirette closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Katipunan successfully pulls guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Katipunan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lirette gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Katipunan has his foot on Lirette's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lirette works his way back into a safe position though.

Katipunan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Katipunan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lirette can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Katipunan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lirette stands and steps away. Katipunan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Lirette shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Lirette is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Katipunan is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
