PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caio Cesar Caprillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Cifer Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caprillo comes to the cage accompanied by The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun. Lou Cifer Jr told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cifer Jr throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Cifer Jr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Caprillo sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Cifer Jr gets tackled into the cage by Caprillo. Caprillo maintains the clinch.
Cifer Jr is trying to maintain a safe position but Caprillo gets an underhook and turns Cifer Jr into the cage.
Cifer Jr tries a body shot but Caprillo blocks it.

Caprillo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Caprillo connects with a body shot that sends Cifer Jr's belly button to the back.
Caprillo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cifer Jr.
Caprillo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Caprillo moves away from the strike by Cifer Jr.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd cheers as Cifer Jr lands an impressive looking overhand right. Caprillo doesn't seem phased though.
Caprillo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cifer Jr is fending him off so far but Caprillo persists. Nope, Cifer Jr circles away and we're back to standing.
Cifer Jr just misses with a punch to the body.
Cifer Jr connects with a body shot.

Caprillo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cifer Jr as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caio Cesar Caprillo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cifer Jr fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Caprillo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cifer Jr thows a body shot but no joy.
Caprillo is looking to land body kicks.
Cifer Jr stuffs the takedown attempt from Caprillo. Caprillo gets slowly back to his feet.
Caprillo shoots and misses
and Cifer Jr counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Caprillo is breathing heavily.
Cifer Jr lands with a good body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cifer Jr lands a jab.

Cifer Jr cracks Caprillo with an uppercut from hell and Caprillo crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Cifer Jr's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Caprillo is rocked!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Cifer Jr looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Oh Caprillo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cifer Jr lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Cifer Jr loads up on a big left hand. Caprillo felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Cifer Jr looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Caprillo can't hide his disappointment, as Cifer Jr celebrates the victory.
