Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Bonney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saigon The Yard Father (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonney comes into the arena with public enemy number 1 blaring out of the sound system. The Yard Father has chosen Saigon - Get Busy as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saigon The Yard Father!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonney throws a jab but it's blocked by The Yard Father.
Bonney rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The Yard Father moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bonney gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Bonney looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The Yard Father looking to sit in guard and control but Bonney gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bonney drops back, looking for a kneebar! The Yard Father looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. The Yard Father looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from The Yard Father!

The Yard Father is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The Yard Father looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bonney wants to control the action here but instead The Yard Father manages to pass to full mount!
Bonney wants to hold on but The Yard Father pushes him away.
Bonney is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Bonney is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because The Yard Father is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The Yard Father goes for an armbar but Bonney turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bonney.
Bonney stands and throws The Yard Father's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The Yard Father gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bonney lands a nice short elbow.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are battling for position here. The Yard Father manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The Yard Father is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bonney's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bonney's back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that William Bonney will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



The Yard Father throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bonney tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. The Yard Father is in Bonney's guard.

The Yard Father avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The Yard Father wants to pass the guard but Bonney is keeping the position.
The Yard Father wants to control from the top but Bonney keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bonney working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. The Yard Father doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bonney is tightening it up a little... The Yard Father has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! The Yard Father reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! The Yard Father taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bonney!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). William Bonney!
William Bonney very nearly forgot to thank Cyclone Nutrition Company amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
