Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Fry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akisame Hikaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hikaru's choice of entrance music: Ultimate Battle. Akisame Hikaru has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Fry!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akisame Hikaru!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hikaru misses the shot to the body.
Hikaru swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hikaru checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Fry does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Fry throws a head kick but Hikaru moves out of range.
Fry fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hikaru is out of range.
Jack Fry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hikaru scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Fry doesn't seem bothered though.
Fry misses with an attempted mid kick.
Hikaru moves into range and connects with a jab.
Some wild striking there from Hikaru.
Jack Fry is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hikaru has a takedown stuffed.
Hikaru takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hikaru avoids a kick to the body.
A bone on bone clash there as Fry blocks the leg kick.
Fry cracks Hikaru with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fry is looking to score with low kicks.
Fry looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Fry thows a body kick. Hikaru tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Fry thows a leg kick but Hikaru checks it
and Hikaru counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fry moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hikaru bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Fry tries a head kick but it misses.
Fry lands with a nice body kick.
Hikaru tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Fry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fry throws a leg kick but Hikaru sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hikaru feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Fry wants to get back to his feet but Hikaru is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hikaru tries to free his leg and advance position but Fry is retaining full guard.
Hikaru thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hikaru postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hikaru stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fry swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fry looking for a sweep. Not yet Fry, not yet.
Hikaru drops back looking for a leg! Fry is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fry manages to kick Hikaru off! Hikaru jumps back into Fry's guard.
Hikaru wants to pass the guard but Fry is keeping the position.

Fry is trying to keep Hikaru in close.
Hikaru stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fry swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hikaru trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Fry wants to stand up but Hikaru is controlling him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hikaru stopping the sweep attempt from Fry.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Fry.
Fry gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Fry takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jack Fry will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Fry takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fry lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Hikaru checks the leg kick.
Hikaru digs a good hook to Fry's body.
Fry goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Hikaru blocks a leg kick.
Fry scoring well with a low kick there.
Fry lands with a kick to the ribs.
Fry attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Hikaru throws a leg kick that misses.
Hikaru scores a takedown into full mount!
Fry working to try and regain half guard.
Fry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hikaru on the ground.

Hikaru lands a big elbow.
Hikaru avoids the attempt from Fry to control.

Hikaru takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Fry is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Fry is trying desperately to improve position.
Hikaru looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hikaru trying to control but Fry is having none of it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fry defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hikaru.

Hikaru is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fry can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fry tries to hold on but Hikaru postures up.
Hikaru breaks from Fry's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Fry is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hikaru swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
