Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alezandr Mamaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green has chosen 21 Guns as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alezandr Mamaev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Chris Green!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A telegraphed right hand from Mamaev misses the target.

Green gets the takedown into side control.
Mamaev seems a little lost for a moment, as Green dominates the positioning.
Mamaev gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Green controlling his opponent.
Mamaev tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Mamaev is trying desperately to improve position.

Green slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Mamaev is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mamaev on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mamaev tries to get out of the position.
It looks like Green might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Green pushing down on Mamaev's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Green is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Mamaev is trying to control but Green passes into side control!

Mamaev seems a little lost for a moment, as Green dominates the positioning.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chris Green wasn't active enough on the ground.

Green instigates a clinch.
Green is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mamaev is defending well.
Green digs a right hand underneath Mamaev's ribcage. Mamaev let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Mamaev can't break the clinch.

Green has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mamaev avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Mamaev is looking to break free of the clinch but Green has double underhooks.

Mamaev is fighting off a takedown attempt but Green is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mamaev to the mat. Mamaev regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Green is stalling in the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chris Green hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Green shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mamaev defends it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A big left from Mamaev misses.
Green lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mamaev backs up against the cage.

Green gets the takedown into side control.

Green stands up.
Mamaev fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Green is out of range.
Green slips a straight right by Mamaev.
Mamaev throws a poor cross that misses

and Green counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Green.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Green controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Green works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Mamaev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Green is working away from the top position though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Green in particular looking to stall.
Chris Green has got the better of the ground game so far.

Green takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Green looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mamaev with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mamaev has hold of Green's hands but Green slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Green works his way into side control.
Green controlling the position from side mount.
Let's hope that Green has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Mamaev might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Green is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mamaev has escaped the position, nice work there.
Green cracks Mamaev with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
You can see the frustration on Mamaev's face as Green controls the position.
Mamaev looking for a sweep but Green has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Green tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Green takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Chris Green was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Green scores with a head kick. Mamaev tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Mamaev takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Green shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Green showed some decent athleticism there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chris Green showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mamaev leaves Green with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mamaev is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Green's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Green jumps into guard, dragging Mamaev to the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Green pushes Mamaev off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mamaev looks to land a right hand but Green moved out of range.

Green tries to bum rush Mamaev with a series of wild strikes but Mamaev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chris Green is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Green scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Green bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Green keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Green looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mamaev is fending him off so far but Green persists. Nope, Mamaev circles away and we're back to standing.
Alezandr Mamaev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Green.

No joy there for Green, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mamaev has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Green.
Mamaev cracks Green with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Green. Mamaev does a little dance to reset his feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mamaev wants to improve his position but Green is controlling well.
Mamaev is looking to control Green's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mamaev avoid being mounted?
Still in half guard, Green seems content to control.
Green is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Green is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Chris Green was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Green rushes Mamaev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Mamaev tries to circle away but Green has him pinned against the cage.

Green escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mamaev throws a jab but it's blocked by Green.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mamaev enables Green to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mamaev manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Green stands up from Mamaev's guard - Green perhaps looking for a knockout.

Green drives through with a takedown into Mamaev's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Green pushes down on Mamaev's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Green perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Green is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chris Green hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Well Green has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
