The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rodrigues cracks James with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like James James has been cut.
Rodrigues keeps the fight on the outside.
James lands a slapping body shot.
Rodrigues throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rodrigues lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rodrigues feints and then cracks James's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow James down.
James takes a jab right on the kisser.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rodrigues slips a straight right by James.
Rodrigues throws a nice inside leg kick.
James looks gassed!
Rodrigues uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by James.
Rodrigues slips under a jab from James.
Rodrigues defending well as James loads up on a big left hand.

James moves into range and clinches up with Rodrigues.
Rodrigues misses with a short punch on the inside.
James misses with a punch to the body.
James misses with a body punch.
James looking to throw knees to the head but Rodrigues is blocking nicely.
Rodrigues makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
James unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rodrigues lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Rodrigues lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of James backwards.
James throws a head punch that misses.

Rodrigues breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rodrigues throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
James takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Severino Rodrigues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodrigues connects with an inside leg kick.
Rodrigues dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rodrigues throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Rodrigues pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Rodrigues fakes the leg kick and cracks James in the body.
Rodrigues throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rodrigues fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Rodrigues throws a nice outside leg kick.
James takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Rodrigues throws an overhand right that drops James like a sack of potatoes! Rodrigues dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
