Jackson has chosen Lil Wayne - Hustler Musik as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dick Carbone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eugene Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carbone is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Carbone throws a hook but Jackson blocks it.
Carbone displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jackson.
Carbone dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Carbone stuffs the takedown.
Jackson walks into a jab.


It looks like Eugene Jackson has been cut.
Carbone throws a low kick but Jackson avoids it.

Carbone pushes Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.
Carbone managing to block the knees to the body from Jackson.
Jackson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carbone pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dick Carbone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eugene Jackson.
Carbone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carbone tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jackson closes the distance and pushes Carbone back into the cage.
Jackson is trying to drag Carbone to the mat but Carbone just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A combination from Carbone does no damage.
Carbone throws a big shot that misses.
Carbone lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Carbone has closed the distance and engaged Jackson in a clinch.
Jackson avoiding damage as Carbone throws knees to the body.

Jackson wants the takedown. Carbone is fighting it off but Jackson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Carbone's guard against the cage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Carbone is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson wants to stand but Carbone has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Carbone looking for a triangle here. Jackson is fighting it but it looks tight! Carbone pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Jackson is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Dick Carbone!
Our winner, Dick Carbone, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
