The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fiaoni takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Riordan dodges the punch combination from Fiaoni.
Fiaoni scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Thomas Riordan has been cut.
Riordan looking to score a takedown here. Fiaoni is defending well but Riordan drives through and ends up in Fiaoni's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Riordan wants to get up but he can't break Fiaoni's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Thomas Riordan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Fiaoni tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Riordan was well out of range. Poor timing from Fiaoni.

Riordan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Riordan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fiaoni sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Fiaoni counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Riordan shoots for a double leg takedown but Fiaoni sprawls well. He's pushed Riordan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fiaoni lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Riordan circles away quickly and effectively.
Fiaoni misses with a wild body shot.
Fiaoni fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Riordan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fiaoni jabs Riordan right on the nose. Riordan blinks but takes it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fiaoni throws a right hand that Riordan ducks under and follows up with a left that Riordan also avoids with ease.
Fiaoni lands a head shot.
Fiaoni lands the left hand.
Riordan is rocked!
A punch combination from Riordan misses.
Fiaoni feints with a jab and clips Riordan right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Riordan is sent crashing into the canvas and Fiaoni leaps in for the kill! Riordan tries to get to his feet but Fiaoni is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Riordan is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Angelo Fiaoni!
