Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marec Thims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johannes Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thims comes to the cage accompanied by Lamb of god, Rednck. Hanson has chosen Eminem-Stay Wide Awake as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thims tries to keep at a distance but Hanson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Thims tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hanson avoids it.

Hanson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Thims is trying to keep an underhook but Hanson manages to get the takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Hanson shoots in looking for a takedown. Thims tries to sprawl out of it but Hanson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thims manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hanson shoots in for a double leg but Thims sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hanson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Thims connects with a nice short shot to Hanson's temple.

Thims postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Hanson to stand up.

Hanson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Thims defends it easily.

Thims wants to get up but he can't break Hanson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hanson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thims gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Thims got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hanson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thims has managed to get both his arms back between Hanson's legs - danger averted.
