Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Heleknus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brynden Tully (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roberto Heleknus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brynden Tully!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heleknus misses with a jab, cross combination.

Tully looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Heleknus!

Tully working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Tully tries to control but Heleknus wriggling away.
Tully controlling from mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Heleknus wants to control but Tully is having none of it.

Tully working for a submission but Heleknus is keeping him at bay.
Heleknus is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Tully takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Tully stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Heleknus looks to land a left hand but Tully moved out of range nicely.
Heleknus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tully moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Roberto Heleknus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tully shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Heleknus pinned against the cage. Heleknus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Heleknus throws a jab when Tully was well out of range.
Heleknus throws a combination. Tully tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Brynden Tully has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tully lands with a nice body punch.
Tully shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Heleknus sprawls well. Heleknus wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tully gets slowly back to his feet.

Tully bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Heleknus tries to bench press Tully off him but Tully keeps the position.
Tully trying to control the action but Heleknus is working from the bottom.
Heleknus can't do much from the bottom here.

Tully tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tully has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The strikes coming from Tully are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Heleknus is trying to control Tully's posture but Tully avoids it.

Tully stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Tully throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Heleknus's waist but Heleknus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tully off to one side.
Roberto Heleknus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brynden Tully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heleknus is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Tully is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Tully shoots in but no luck this time.
Heleknus displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tully.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tully looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Tully shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tully was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Heleknus tries to hold on but Tully pushes him away.
Heleknus is trying to stand up.
Tully landing strikes from the mount.
Heleknus regains half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Heleknus tries to kick Tully off in order to stand up. Tully Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Brynden Tully has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Tully working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Heleknus is looking for a sweep.
Heleknus wants to get back to his feet but Tully drags him back down.
Heleknus takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Tully decides to stand back up. Tully steps back and let's Heleknus get back to his feet.
Tully keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A jab lands there for Tully.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tully shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Tully pushing down on Heleknus's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Tully controlling the pace.

Tully is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Tully gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tully lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Tully dips to his left and cracks Heleknus with an uppercut!
Heleknus keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Roberto Heleknus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brynden Tully.
Tully ducks under a wild hook from Heleknus.
Tully scores with the left hand. Heleknus knows he should have avoided that one.
No joy there for Tully, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tully misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Brynden Tully seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tully is defended easily by Heleknus.
Tully throws a good cross that connects.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tully will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Roberto Heleknus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tully smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Tully tries to close the distance and clinch but Heleknus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fight stays on the outside here - Tully looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tully looks for a takedown but Heleknus sprawls well.
Heleknus misses with a hook.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tully looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Tully closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tully lands in his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brynden Tully showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Heleknus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Tully tries to clinch up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tully looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tully moves out of range of the strikes.
Tully dips to his left and cracks Heleknus with an uppercut!
Tully moves out of range as Heleknus strikes.
No luck for Tully with that takedown attempt.

Tully gets the takedown into side control.
Tully throws an elbow but Heleknus slips to the side and avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tully trying to control the position but Heleknus is working away.

Tully has an Americana. Heleknus didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tully is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tully hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Brynden Tully!
