The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Towns fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tomeh, pushing him back against the cage.

Tomeh has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Towns uses from the top position.
Towns's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Towns wants to stand and escape but instead Tomeh has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Towns throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Tomeh tries to stand but Towns is controlling from the bottom.
Tomeh wants to pass the guard but Towns is keeping the position.
Tomeh trying to control but Towns is working from the bottom.
Towns is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Towns not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Tomeh wants to control from the top but Towns keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bryan Tomeh wasn't active enough on the ground.
Tomeh fails to land the takedown.
Tomeh looks to clinch
and Towns counters with a three punch combo that has Tomeh backing up. Tomeh nods at Towns to acknowledge the strikes.
Towns throws a hook but Tomeh avoids it easily.
Towns rushes Tomeh with punches - Tomeh moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Tomeh goes down! Towns follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
