The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McTavish fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Schultz avoids it really well and circles away.
Schultz misses with a straight right.

McTavish drives through with a takedown into Schultz 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Schultz wants to sweep but no luck.
McTavish slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McTavish moves into full mount! Schultz won't be happy about that!

McTavish has hold of Schultz 's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Schultz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Schultz is looking to improve his position but McTavish isn't that keen on the idea.
