The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ball gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bartas to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ball wants to sweep here but Bartas controlling him for the moment.
Bartas trying to control the position from guard on top but Ball is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bartas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ball. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bartas is pushing down on Ball's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ball is fighting to maintain full guard but Bartas has managed to sneak the leg through.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bartas shoots in and bounces Ball off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
