Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Congo Ashantie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naoto Sugawara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ashantie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Congo Ashanti. Sugawara has chosen Eye Of The Tiger as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashantie cracks Sugawara with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Congo Ashantie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ashantie checks a low kick from Sugawara.
Sugawara wants to clinch up but Ashantie keeps it at a distance.
Sugawara dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sugawara keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ashantie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ashantie connects with a leg kick. Sugawara looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Ashantie lands an elbow inside that Sugawara shrugs off.
Sugawara misses with the head strike.
Sugawara misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ashantie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ashantie.

Ashantie stuns Sugawara with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ashantie looks to score with a jab to the body but Sugawara is just out of range.
Ashantie lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sugawara's sensitive parts.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ashantie smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The cut above Naoto Sugawara's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Ashantie connects with a right hand. Sugawara shakes it off.
Naoto Sugawara's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Ashantie lands a big uppercut and Sugawara crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sugawara looks OK. Ashantie waves Sugawara back to his feet!
Sugawara is rocked!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Naoto Sugawara's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Congo Ashantie!
In his post fight interview, Congo Ashantie gave a big smile as he said 'Fiddiling abut popin spreeeeeeeeeee'.
