Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Avon Stringer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edgar Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poe throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Stringer stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Poe follows into mount!

Stringer is rocked!

It looks like Avon Stringer has been cut.
Poe thowing shots but they're missing.
Oh Stringer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stringer is looking to get to half guard.
Stringer seems to have got his legs back now.

Stringer tries to reverse the position but Poe maintains control.
Poe trying to control but Stringer is having none of it.
Stringer is wriggling around trying to escape.

Poe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stringer regains half guard.
Poe controlling the action here.
Poe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stringer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Poe tries to score with some ground and pound. Stringer controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Poe won't allow Stringer to sweep him here.
Poe wanted to stand there but Stringer had control of the position.
Stringer is looking to sweep but instead, Poe has passed into half guard.
Stringer manages to get to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Poe decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stringer, up you get!
Poe looks gassed!
Stringer throws a body punch but Poe moves out of range.
Stringer looks for a takedown but Poe sprawls well.
Nice sprawl there from Poe as Stringer shoots in.
Poe looks to throw the jab but Stringer is out of range.
Stringer walks into a left hand.
Poe throws a good cross that connects.
Stringer takes one to the side of the head.
Stringer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Stringer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Poe uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stringer has time to react.

Avon Stringer's cut is getting worse.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Poe circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Stringer to the canvas! Stringer doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Poe keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
