Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonathan Brookins!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersen is looking to clinch but Brookins is avoiding it.

Brookins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Andersen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Andersen tries to buck Brookins off but Brookins is having none of it.
Brookins cracks Andersen with a big right hand but Andersen just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Andersen can't do much from the bottom here.
Andersen is looking for a sweep.
Brookins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brookins lands a few punches from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Andersen is trying to improve his position.
Andersen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Brookins off and has taken his back!

Andersen working for a choke but Brookins reverses nicely into Andersen 's guard.
Brookins wants to control from the top but Andersen keeps moving.

Andersen throws his legs up looking for a submission but Brookins uses it to pass to side control.

Brookins working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Andersen manages to work his way to half guard, despite Brookins's best efforts.

Andersen looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Brookins pushes past his half guard into mount!
Andersen is in all sorts of trouble here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brookins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Andersen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Brookins stops Andersen from getting back to his feet.
Andersen tries to roll over but Brookins keeps him under control.

Brookins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Andersen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Andersen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Andersen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brookins's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Brookins slips a nice elbow through Andersen's hands, connecting with Andersen's forehead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Andersen tries to clinch but Brookins is having none of it.

Andersen misses with a hook to the ribs.

Brookins gets through Andersen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Andersen tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brookins avoids it.
Brookins lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Andersen is looking to control Brookins's arms but Brookins gets an underhook and turns him. Now Andersen has his back to the cage.
Brookins misses with a knee strike.

Brookins has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Andersen regains guard immediately.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brookins's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Brookins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Andersen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Andersen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Brookins has his hands clasped together but Andersen extends an breaks Brookins's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Andersen.
