Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Kiss my Irish Arse as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a half hearted mid kick.

It looks like Shaun Johnson has been cut.

Brown tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.

Johnson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brown was covering up waiting for the punch and Johnson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving.
Brown is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Brown is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Johnson dives into side control.

Brown is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Johnson tries to score with some ground and pound. Brown controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Johnson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Brown wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Johnson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brown is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Brown is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Johnson asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Johnson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brown, who protects the arm well.

Johnson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Brown is trying to escape and Johnson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Brown is forced to tap! Nice work there by Johnson! Very nice indeed!
