Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Gurgel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Hjernson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gurgel comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Lose Yourself. Hjernson has chosen Poirot theme as his entrance music. Sven Hjernson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hjernson misses with a wild combination.
Gurgel tries to clinch there but Hjernson circles away.

Horrible takedown by Gurgel or perhaps it was just good defense by Hjernson which made him look bad.
Jorge Gurgel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hjernson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hjernson rushes Gurgel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gurgel struggles to land a body shot inside as Hjernson controls his hands.

Gurgel tries to reverse the position but Hjernson maintains control.

Hjernson unloads with some shots from mount but Gurgel bucks and avoids them well.
Gurgel is in all sorts of trouble here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gurgel sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Gurgel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hjernson is working away from the top position though.
Gurgel tries to roll over but Hjernson keeps him under control.

Gurgel has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Hjernson. Oh but Gurgel has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Hjernson goes limp - he's gone! Gurgel jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
