Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean Price!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desmond lands with a kick to the temple. Price shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Price moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Desmond tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Price scores with a nice head shot.
Desmond fails with an attempt to clinch.
Desmond throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Desmond swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Price misses with an uppercut
and Desmond counters with a slapping leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Desmond looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Price!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Desmond sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Desmond trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Desmond jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Price is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Price and Desmond has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Price is looking for a sweep.

Price regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Price looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Desmond in particular looking to stall.
Price is trying to control but can't.
Desmond tries to pass the half guard into mount. Price knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Desmond keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Price regains full guard. Nicely done.

Price can't keep his opponent in guard - Desmond advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Desmond is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Price doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Desmond.

Desmond connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Desmond avoids the attempt from Price to control.
Desmond sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Price is bucking up trying to escape but Desmond cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Price wants to control but Desmond is having none of it.
Desmond controlling his opponent.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
BOOM! Desmond connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Desmond doesn't manage to clinch there - Price circles away.
Desmond fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Price manages to avoid it.
Desmond fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Price throws a lazy right hand but Desmond sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A big left from Desmond misses.
Desmond drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Erik Desmond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Price throws a left and a right that both miss
and Desmond counters with a nice uppercut.
Price throws a shot from downtown. Desmond moves away and avoids it.
Price moves out of range of the leg kick from Desmond.

Desmond gets a double leg takedown into Price's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Desmond passes into half guard.
Price wants to control but Desmond is keeping busy.

Price is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Desmond pulls his head out easily.
Desmond not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Desmond has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Desmond in particular looking to stall.
Price trying to control from the bottom.

Price wants to get back to full guard but Desmond has mounted him!
Desmond landing strikes, looking to finish!
Desmond lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Price is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Price is squirming around, avoiding Desmond's attempts to control the action.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Price is in a horrible position here. Desmond smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Price can't escape the position.
Desmond scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Desmond landing strikes from the mount and Price is in trouble!


Price is rocked!
Desmond looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Price is still in real trouble! Can Desmond finish him?

Desmond controlling the position easily from mount.
Desmond connects with a bit shot that sees Price covering up! More strikes from Desmond and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Desmond is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Erik Desmond!
Erik Desmond decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
