The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe leaves Abbott with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Monroe lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like David Lee Abbott has been cut.
Abbott takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Monroe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Monroe connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Monroe sizes up Abbott with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Monroe drops Abbott with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Abbott looks back up at him and smiles so Monroe waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Abbott is rocked!
Monroe motions for Abbott to come forward. Monroe throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Abbott is still on wobbly legs! Can Monroe finish him?
Crack! Monroe connects with the perfect overhand right and Abbott falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Monroe!
