Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Killjoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Killjoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex James!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killjoy rushes James and presses him up against the cage.
James is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Killjoy pulls him back up using the underhooks.

James blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
James is looking to take this one to the mat.
Killjoy tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and James avoids it.
James has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Killjoy after a bit of a struggle.

James is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Killjoy dives into side control.
James wants to get back to his feet but Killjoy drags him back down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

James throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Killjoy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from James.

James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Killjoy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat.

We've been hearing good reports from Killjoy's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
James is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Killjoy asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Horrible takedown by James or perhaps it was just good defense by Killjoy which made him look bad.
