Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Donovan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oda Hattori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jason Donovan has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jason Donovan seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Donovan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Oda Hattori!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donovan throws a body punch but Hattori moves out of range.

Hattori fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Donovan to the ground. Hattori is now in Donovan's guard.

Donovan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Hattori shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Donovan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Donovan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hattori is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Donovan.

Hattori stalks Donovan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Donovan's face. Donovan staggers backwards, shaken.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hattori tries to score a power double leg takedown but Donovan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hattori somewhat.

Hattori shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Donovan sprawls well. Donovan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hattori gets slowly back to his feet.

Oda Hattori showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Hattori has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
