Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Willians Obina!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Hendo!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendo shoots in but no luck this time.

Obina closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hendo quickly recovers to half guard.
Hendo missing with punches from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Obina thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hendo's head.
Obina is trying to control the action in half guard but Hendo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Obina has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Obina is looking to advance position but Hendo won't allow it.
Hendo wants to get back to full guard.
Obina takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hendo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Obina moves nicely into side control.
Obina blocks the strikes from Hendo.
Hendo throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Obina landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Obina is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hendo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Obina remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Hendo throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Obina passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Hendo!

Hendo srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.

Obina is working the ground and pound. Can Hendo escape?

Obina doesn't have the hooks in and Hendo manages to turn into his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Obina is on top in guard.
Obina trying to control but Hendo is working from the bottom.
Hendo throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Obina controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Hendo trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Obina is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hendo missing with punches from the bottom.
Hendo tries to roll over but Obina keeps him under control.
Obina is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Obina works his foot free and advances to mount.
Obina controlling from mount.

Obina trying to control but Hendo is having none of it.
Hendo tries to improve his position but instead Obina has taken his back!
Hendo is trying to break free.

Obina is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Hendo taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Obina.
