Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joes Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Hendo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Hendo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ortiz!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ortiz is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hendo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Hendo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Ortiz tries to reverse the position but Hendo maintains control.
Hendo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ortiz looks a forlorn figure.

Ortiz is looking to improve his position but Hendo isn't that keen on the idea.
Ortiz slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Hendo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Ortiz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hendo pulls his head out easily.

Ortiz is breathing heavily.

Hendo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Hendo batters Ortiz with a massive right followed by a huge left! Ortiz is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Hendo lands a final crushing right hand to drop Ortiz to the mat with a gruesome thud! Hendo is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
