Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paolo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Professor F (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). F has chosen shortest man in world as his entrance music. Professor F has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Souza looking to score a takedown here. F is defending well but Souza drives through and ends up in F's guard.

F had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Souza defends it easily.
Souza lands a couple of digs.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now F is on top in guard.

Souza escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. F gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
F content to stall in guard here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
F would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
F not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
F wants to control from the top but Souza keeps moving.
Souza will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Souza feints and as F raises his hands in defense, Souza changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
F manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Souza manages to get himself to full guard.

F content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Souza has locked up a guillotine! Souza's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? F is holding on here and Souza must be using up a lot of energy. F has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Souza gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
