Visnjic has chosen Come undone as his entrance music. Nikolino Visnjic is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Visnjic throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Karelin throws a jab but it's blocked by Visnjic.

Visnjic gets caught napping as Karelin dives in and scores a takedown. Visnjic manages to retain guard.
Visnjic is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Karelin dives into side control.
Visnjic takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

It looks like Nikolino Visnjic has been cut.
Visnjic is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Karelin in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Visnjic takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Visnjic is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Visnjic tries to buck Karelin off but Karelin is having none of it.
Visnjic is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Karelin's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Karelin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Visnjic's head.

That has opened up Nikolino Visnjic's cut even more.
Karelin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Karelin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Karelin passes into half guard.
Karelin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Visnjic keeps working.
Karelin slips a nice elbow through Visnjic's hands, connecting with Visnjic's forehead.

The cut above Nikolino Visnjic's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Nikolino Visnjic's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Nikolino Visnjic's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
