The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cognosneti keeps control of Jackson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Cognosneti is looking to break free of the clinch but Jackson has double underhooks.

Jackson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cognosneti shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.

Jackson forces Cognosneti back against the cage and clinches.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cognosneti throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Cognosneti throws a series of strikes that have Jackson backpedaling.

It looks like Nick Jackson has been cut.
Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Cognosneti delivers a nice body kick.
Cognosneti should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sherlock Cognosneti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson throws a right hand that Cognosneti ducks under and follows up with a left that Cognosneti also avoids with ease.
Cognosneti misses with an attempted mid kick.
Cognosneti throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
Jackson leaves Cognosneti with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jackson throws a good cross that connects.

Jackson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cognosneti eats them both and turns towards Jackson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson rushes Cognosneti with punches - Cognosneti moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Cognosneti goes down! Jackson follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
