The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels shoots in looking for a takedown but Adkins manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Daniels's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Daniels fails to land the takedown.
Adkins tries to clinch up but Daniels circles away and keeps his distance.
Adkins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Daniels manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cock Daniels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Daniels walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Daniels is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Adkins.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Adkins! Daniels is out on his feet! Adkins rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Daniels is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Daniels is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
