Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Cassidy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Inspectah Knuckles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Al Cassidy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Inspectah Knuckles!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cassidy lands with a straight right. Knuckles didn't see that one coming.
Cassidy looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Knuckles closes the distance and clinches up with Cassidy, looking for a takedown. Knuckles pushes Cassidy against the cage but Cassidy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cassidy takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Knuckles throws a looping overhand right but Cassidy ducks down to avoid it.
Cassidy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Knuckles can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cassidy controls the pace.

Knuckles trying to keep a closed guard but Cassidy is proving a slippery customer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Knuckles ducks under a wild hook from Cassidy.
Cassidy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Knuckles connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Knuckles lands a slapping body shot.
A swing and a miss from Knuckles.
Cassidy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knuckles's waist but Knuckles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cassidy off to one side.
Cassidy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Knuckles connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cassidy scrambles back to his feet.
Knuckles misses with a body shot.
Cassidy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knuckles's waist but Knuckles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cassidy off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Cassidy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cassidy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Knuckles sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Knuckles tries to clinch but Cassidy moves out of range.
Cassidy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Knuckles but Knuckles pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cassidy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Knuckles napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
What's Knuckles going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Cassidy looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Knuckles is avoiding damage well.
Cassidy tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Cassidy is looking to take a break and control but Knuckles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cassidy wants to control for a moment but Knuckles uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Cassidy thows a huge punch but Knuckles dodges it nicely.
Cassidy passes the guard and advances to mount!
Cassidy misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Knuckles is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Cassidy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Cassidy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cassidy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Knuckles for as long as he can get away with.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Knuckles is desperately trying to improve his position but Cassidy has a good base and remains in mount.

Al Cassidy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Knuckles can do anything to dispel that myth.
