Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir has chosen Sub-Mission as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flare pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mir swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Flare shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mir defends it nicely.
Mir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Flare's waist but Flare gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mir off to one side.
Flare shoots in looking for a takedown. Mir tries to sprawl out of it but Flare keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Mir manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mir shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Flare manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Flare had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mir defends it easily.

Mir takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mir has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Flare's face.

Mir is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Flare to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Flare shrugs it off.

Mir cracks Flare with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

A very excited looking Cain Mir made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
