Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Krammer Hussein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Salvador Saballe!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saballe slaps away a takedown attempt from Hussein, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hussein checks a leg kick.
Saballe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hussein looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Saballe is fending him off so far but Hussein persists. Nope, Saballe circles away and we're back to standing.
Hussein has his takedown stuffed
and Saballe counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krammer Hussein. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Saballe swats away the attempt to clinch by Hussein.
Hussein takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hussein avoids the head kick by Saballe.
Hussein looks to clinch
and Saballe counters by moving into the clinch.
Hussein drops down looking for an ankle pick but Saballe pulls his leg out and moves away.
Saballe throws a body kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hussein looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Saballe thows a body kick. Hussein tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Hussein is breathing heavily.
Saballe connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hussein. Hussein circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A punch combination from Saballe misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saballe with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Saballe misses with a head kick.
Saballe feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hussein sprawling to the canvas! Hussein rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Saballe finish him?!
Hussein is rocked!
Hussein blocks a head kick by Saballe.
Oh Hussein is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saballe feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Hussein collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Salvador Saballe!
A less than humble Salvador Saballe misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
