Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cabbage Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reynald Mercier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Face comes to the cage accompanied by Monsta's Ball. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cabbage Face!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reynald Mercier!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercier swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Face counters with a big head kick but Mercier shrugs it off.
Face throws a big shot that misses.
A jab lands there for Mercier.
It looks like Cabbage Face has been cut.
The fighters circling - Face throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Face changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mercier looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mercier sneaks back into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Face sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Mercier is trying to get back to full guard.
Face lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Mercier keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Face is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mercier is just riding it out for now. Face eventually gives up the hold.
Mercier wants to control but Face is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Face lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Mercier is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Face scores with a couple of nice shots.
Face is trying to control. Mercier wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Mercier moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Face trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Mercier is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Face is aware though and is defending well.
Face postures up in Mercier's guard and throws a big left but Mercier blocks it.

Face cracks Mercier with a solid left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mercier is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Mercier keeps control of Face as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Face looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mercier blocks an uppercut.
Mercier is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Face is trying to push Mercier away but Mercier has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Face obliges.
Face is trying to maintain a safe position but Mercier gets an underhook and turns Face into the cage.
Face tries to land knees in the clinch but Mercier avoids the damage to the body.
Face is looking to break free of the clinch but Mercier has double underhooks.
Face's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Mercier has Face pushed against the cage.
Face is trying to trip Mercier. He has hold of a leg but Mercier is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Face persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Face wants to control from the top but Mercier keeps moving.
Face postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Face won't allow Mercier to sweep him here.

Face's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Face duly obliges.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mercier throws a leg kick which misses Face's front leg but catches the back leg as Face tries to avoid it.
Face lands with a hook. Mercier tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cabbage Face dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Cabbage Face's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Face darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Face is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mercier defends it well.
Mercier trying to control from the bottom.
Face throws a strike but Mercier avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Mercier pulls Face in close to his closed guard and prevents Face from doing any damage or advancing position.
Face with a flurry of punches that miss.
Mercier looking to hit a scissor sweep but Face is one step ahead there.
Mercier trying to keep a closed guard but Face is proving a slippery customer.

Face slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Face misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Face postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Mercier tries to improve position but can't.
Face tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Face thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Face tries for a kimura but Mercier is defending well.
Face stands up.
Decent striking displayed by Mercier there.

Face is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mercier's half guard.

Mercier bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Face's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Cabbage Face is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Face tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Face throws a series of punches but Mercier avoids them all with ease.
Cabbage Face seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Face fails to land with a series of punches.
Mercier throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mercier will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Face misses with a hook. Mercier ducked under it nicely.
Mercier tries for a takedown but Face sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mercier enables Face to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mercier manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mercier looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Face lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Face connects with a couple of short punches.
Mercier wants to sweep here but Face controlling him for the moment.
Mercier has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Face doesn't defend quickly enough and Mercier has managed to lock this one up! Can Face escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mercier on a fantastic submission victory.
