The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wierzbicki throws a lazy right hand but Karelin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Karelin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wierzbicki takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Karelin walks into a jab.
Karelin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Karelin is defended easily by Wierzbicki.

Karelin drives through with a takedown into Wierzbicki's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Wierzbicki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Karelin is controlling him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karelin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wierzbicki's guard.
Wierzbicki is trying to stand back up but Karelin is controlling him
Karelin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Karelin is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Wierzbicki is breathing heavily.

Karelin postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Wierzbicki is out cold - huge knockout for Karelin!
