Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Rios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Kappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rios might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Painkiller - Judas Priest. David Kappa will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Rios!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, David Kappa!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rios drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Rios tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kappa paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rios shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Rios throws out a loose jab but Kappa uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rios wants to slow Kappa down by chopping away at his legs.
Rios lands a nice shot to the body.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Rios - that will leave a mark!
A looping hook to the body misses from Rios. Kappa does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rios lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kappa looks winded!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rios lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rios creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Kappa tries to break the clinch but Rios is controlling the position.
Rios is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Rios tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kappa's elbow.

Rios fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kappa has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rios fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kappa.
Kappa on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The fighters circling - Rios throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Rios feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kappa sprawling to the canvas! Kappa rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rios finish him?!

Kappa throws the kick towards the body but Rios avoids it.
Kappa seems to have recovered his senses.

Rios swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Rios connects with a body shot.
Alex Rios seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rios clinches with his opponent.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Rios.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rios presses Kappa against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Rios scores with a nice hook to the head.

Rios misses with an elbow strike.
Rios throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kappa wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Kappa blocks an elbow strike.
Kappa lands a hook to the side of the head.
Rios throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kappa blocks it with crossed arms.
A shot in the inside from Rios.
Rios digs a right hand underneath Kappa's ribcage. Kappa let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Rios lands an uppercut.
Kappa blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Rios lands with a light punch inside.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rios drops Kappa with a massive uppercut from the clinch! Oh my word, Kappa is out cold! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alex Rios!
An out of breath and clearly excited Alex Rios thanked Just Fight for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
