The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saballe closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Thai crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Saballe - the referee stops the clock and Thai gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Saballe. Thai manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Thai in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Thai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Salvador Saballe will probably get the nod.

Saballe takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Thai's corner calls for a 1-2. Thai obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Thai drops Saballe with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Saballe looks back up at him and smiles so Thai waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Saballe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thai lands a big right hook! Saballe looks hurt but is still standing! Thai lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Saballe falls down and Thai dives in with a huge hammer fist! Saballe's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Thai runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
