Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Semmy Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rizzo has chosen open road song as his entrance music. David Kappa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Semmy Rizzo's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Semmy Rizzo!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Rizzo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Rizzo moves out of range of the body kick.
Kappa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rizzo's waist but Rizzo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kappa off to one side.
Rizzo tries to score with a low kick but Kappa moves his leg out of the way.
Rizzo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kappa tries to avoid it but Rizzo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kappa to the ground. Kappa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rizzo misses with a leg kick
and Kappa counters with a one-two to the body.
Rizzo gets cracked there but stands up to it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rizzo throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Kappa tumbling to the canvas!

It looks like David Kappa has been cut.
Rizzo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kappa's head.

Rizzo postures up in Kappa's guard and throws a big left but Kappa blocks it.
Rizzo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Rizzo lands a couple of elbows.
Kappa has momentary wrist control but Rizzo slips an elbow through the middle.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kappa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rizzo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kappa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Rizzo won't allow Kappa to pass to mount.
Kappa passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rizzo!
The referee warns Rizzo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kappa sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Kappa trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Rizzo tries to reverse the position but Kappa maintains control.
Kappa throwing strikes here but Rizzo is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kappa looking to control but Rizzo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kappa throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Kappa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Semmy Rizzo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kappa tests Rizzo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
David Kappa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rizzo tries to land a front kick but Kappa steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rizzo clobbers Kappa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Rizzo and Kappa goes tumbling to the canvas! Rizzo follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Oh Kappa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rizzo lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Kappa! More strikes land and this one is all over! Rizzo jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
