Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damian Wolkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damian Wolkowski!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dante Melendez!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melendez jabs Wolkowski right on the nose. Wolkowski blinks but takes it well.

Wolkowski is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Melendez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Melendez shrugs it off.

Melendez throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Melendez can do anything to dispel that myth.

I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

A relieved looking Damian Wolkowski thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
