Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Basti Haddl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alonzo Harris could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Basti Haddl's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alonzo Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Basti Haddl!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haddl throws a hook but Harris blocks it.
Haddl throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Harris feints and as Haddl raises his hands in defense, Harris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Harris trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Harris postures up and lands a big shot to Haddl's brow.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Harris accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Harris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Haddl avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Harris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Haddl seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harris scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Harris not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Harris is nestled in close to Haddl, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Harris thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Haddl's head.

Harris lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Harris throwing shots but Haddl is blocking nicely.
Haddl has hold of Harris's hands but Harris slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Haddl blocking the ground and pound attempt from Harris.
Harris will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Harris thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Harris takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Harris uses his free foot to push down on Haddl's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Haddl.
Harris looking to control but Haddl is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Harris postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Haddl out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Harris goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Alonzo Harris!
A less than humble Alonzo Harris misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
