The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson gets tackled into the cage by Query. Query maintains the clinch.

Query breaks the clinch.
Query tries to bum rush Thompson with a series of wild strikes but Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A big right from Thompson misses.

Query has closed the distance and engaged Thompson in a clinch.

Query escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Thompson looks to land a right hand but Query moved out of range.

Query shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Query showed some decent athleticism there.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Query drops an elbow to the side of Thompson's head.

Thompson looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Query has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Thompson looking for a kimura from the bottom but Query passes into side control!

Thompson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Query has picked Thompson up and slammed him! Thompson can't keep hold of the triangle and Query manages to pass to side control!
