The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akabaro scores with a head kick. Darnell tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Mason Darnell has been cut.
Akabaro scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Darnell fails with a takedown attempt.
Akabaro lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Darnell takes a kick to the side of the head.
Darnell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Akabaro circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Akabaro. No joy for Darnell on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Darnell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Akabaro fakes the leg kick and cracks Darnell in the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Darnell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Akabaro connects with an inside leg kick.
Darnell is breathing heavily.
That kick from Akabaro tenderised Darnell's leg. Darnell is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Darnell crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Akabaro - the referee stops the clock and Darnell gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Akabaro. Darnell manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A slapping leg kick lands for Akabaro.

Akabaro lands a head kick. Darnell smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Crunch! Akabaro slams his shin into Darnell's torso.
Akabaro moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That kick from Akabaro tenderised Darnell's leg. Darnell is trying to keep his angry face on.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Akabaro lands with a thumping leg kick.
Akabaro lands a brutal head kick. Darnell looks out on his feet and Akabaro throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Kwame Akabaro decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
