The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krueger cracks the inside of Sanchez's front leg.
Krueger closes the distance but Sanchez moves to the side

and Sanchez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Krueger's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanchez wants to pass the guard but Krueger is keeping the position.
Krueger preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Sanchez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sanchez takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Krueger moves to clinch but Sanchez breaks away

and Sanchez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Krueger won't be happy with that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Krueger is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sanchez asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Krueger closes the distance but Sanchez moves to the side

and Sanchez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Sanchez gets to his feet. Krueger looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Krueger tries to clinch but Sanchez moves away

and Sanchez counters with a shoot takedown. Krueger fights it but they end up in guard.
Sanchez passes Krueger's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Krueger is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sanchez scores with a couple of nice shots.

Sanchez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Krueger is just riding it out for now. Sanchez eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sanchez lands a nice short elbow.
Krueger is breathing heavily.

Sanchez drops an elbow to the side of Krueger's head.

Sanchez is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
