Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Furious George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepe LePew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Lamb of God - Descending. LePew has chosen Smoke Serpent- as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Furious George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pepe LePew!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George blocks a head kick by LePew.
LePew avoids a punch combination nicely.
LePew walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
George connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed LePew momentarily.

George shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

George is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. LePew knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
George cracks LePew with a solid left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Furious George dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


George fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
George throws a right hand that LePew ducks under and follows up with a left that LePew also avoids with ease.
Nice takedown defense from George. No joy for LePew on that attempt.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as George checks a leg kick.

LePew gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Furious George overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

LePew is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

George thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

LePew working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. George doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. George manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

LePew pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
George tries to reverse the position but LePew maintains control.
LePew lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
LePew prevents George from getting the reversal.

BOOM! LePew connects with a massive shot to the dome!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
George is squirming around, avoiding LePew's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
George is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, LePew has taken his back.
LePew struggling to keep hold of the position.

LePew is persistently looking for the submission but George is defending it well.
LePew lands strikes to the head.

LePew is looking for the choke from the back position but George is controlling his hands well.
LePew lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
I really don't envy George right now.
