Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlyle Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Bermudez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlyle Thor has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thor blocks a head kick by Bermudez.
Thor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bermudez but Bermudez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thor tries to close the distance and clinch but Bermudez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bermudez misses with a low kick.

Thor forces Bermudez back against the cage and clinches.

Thor shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bermudez sprawls well. Bermudez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thor gets slowly back to his feet.

and Bermudez counters with a shoot takedown. Thor fights it but they end up in guard.
Thor can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bermudez controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bermudez loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Thor scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Bermudez land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Bermudez stands and salutes the crowd.
