Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bransen Garibold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, King D Sailo!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garibold lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Garibold throws a leg kick which misses Sailo's front leg but catches the back leg as Sailo tries to avoid it.
Garibold looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sailo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Garibold - the referee stops the clock and Sailo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Garibold. Sailo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Garibold feints and then cracks Sailo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sailo down.
Garibold feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sailo's calf.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A head kick from Garibold lands but Sailo takes it in his stride.
Sailo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Garibold counters with a leg kick.
Sailo looks gassed!
Garibold moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Sailo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Garibold fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sailo, pushing him back against the cage.
Garibold controlling the action here for a moment.
Garibold pushes Sailo back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Garibold connects with a nasty looking knee right to Sailo's face.
The referee calls for Garibold to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Garibold breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Garibold keeps Sailo at a distance using the push kick.
Sailo tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Garibold lands a left and a right that send Sailo crashing to the mat, dazed. Garibold thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Sailo is rocked!
It looks like King D Sailo has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A solid leg kick lands there for Garibold.
Garibold fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Sailo to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Sailo looks to clinch but Garibold throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Sailo taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Bransen Garibold!
